Fadden's Crew

Joe Fadden and crew were aboard "Homesick Angel" on the mission to Furth, GR on 5 APR 1945. This was their fourth mission. Over their target the #3 engine was hit and badly damaged. LT Fadden was able to put the aircraft down at a recently captured airstrip in Germany. The crew returned to Sudbury 2 days later and flew two more missions by war's end. The crew finished its tour flying #311, "Coaltown Express," and would fly this aircraft home.
