According to information found on the web,  Frank Igo had been promoted to Technical Sergeant by the time he flew on his first mission on the 25th of November 1944.

"on 25 NOV 1944 an American airman was observed to fall from the skies without parachute, and hit the ground in a wheat field near Querfurt, Germany (LAT/LON: 51° 23' N / 11° 36' E). According to the ID tags found on his body he was Frank J. Igo, born 2nd Oct 1919, ASN 11010816 T 41 - 42. His wrist watch had stopped at 11:54 hrs. The body was recovered at about 5 pm and taken to the city morgue. The burial was on 30 November at 9 am in the city cemetery of Querfurt, grave no. 544. All this was contained in a report made by a police lieutenant to the Luftwaffe Airfield at Kölleda, (salvage command). "

The a/c flown this day returned to base with its crew except for T/SGT Igo.  Reasons for his death are a currently a mystery.  It is possible that he was working in the bomb bay without a parachute and fell to his death. More
