(submitted by John L. Brozenske) LT Mullen LT Mullen and crew were attached to the 56 FG Scouting Force during the month of December '44. They flew new, stripped down B17s that were armed only with tail guns. LT Mullen would pick up LT Harris' crew and finish his tour. On 01/08/45 he and his crew were forced down on the continent. The flight engineer, SGT Russell, made repairs and the crew returned on the 10th. This marked the end of Mullen's tour who then transferred to the Weather Recon Group after 03/08/45. |
