SUBJECT:  Results of bombing A/F at Marx, Germany on 21 March 1945.

 

TO:       Commanding Officer, 486th Bombardment Group (H).

 

“A” Squadron dropped a compact pattern measuring approximately 4000’ feet long by 2000’ wide.  The center of this pattern is 1600’ right of the MPI.

 

“C” Squadron dropping very shortly after “B” squadron dropped theier bombs squarely on the pattern of “B” squadron.  It is impossible to distinguish between thse patterns.  They are scored as a composite as follows:

 

                    800’  Right

                   1000’  Over

                   1800’  C.E.

 

In keeping with the policy of 8th Air Vorce O.R.S., patterns having more than 50 feet intervalometer settings are not scored for percentages in 500’, 1000’ and 2000’ circles.
