| Anyone who has worked with radar knows that it isn't always as straightforward as it may seem. The topography can block radar signals casting "shadows" on the return. Being able to interpret the areas of light and dark and pull out navigation points and targets took a little practice. As this image shows, the return was sometimes deceiving. (O&W N/L Fall 92) |
