The Berry crew flew 673 from the ZOI to the ETO, to take up residence at Station 174. The Berry crew would fly most of their mission in this ship until transitioning to the B17. Their B17 would also be called SUPERSTITIOUS ALOYSIUS. When the 486th converted to B17s, #673 was transferred to the 406th Night Bombardment Group (Heavy), where she received a gloss black coat of paint. The new owners preserved the nose art.
