The black box hanging in the center is the optical gun sight. Immediately below the 13" Plexiglas window is the gunner's seat. The white strap is a safety restraint. The gunner's only padding was his flight suit. The gunner would place his feet in stirrups located at the 2 and 10 O'clock position over the window. Just below the right stirrup is an angle indicator showing the gunner his position relative to the plane. Just above the seat are two D handles. The gunner would pull these to charge the guns. The guns are visible to the sides, and the silver boxes below them are the spent cartridge receivers. The brass would fall into empty space.
