LT Paris' crew gets shot down, 02 November 1944, during a mission to strike a secondary target at Merseberg, Germany.  In 2002, pieces of the wreckage were recovered in a field near Kreypau, Germany, a suburb of Merseberg-Leuna.  The artifacts are now on display at a museum at Merseberg.
