#561 (unnamed) and CANCER, #650, on mission #031, 25JUN44. #561 is lead, and #650 is deputy. #561 has dropped its six 1,000 lb GP bombs first. The first bombs of all four sticks from #650 are visible, with what appears to be the second pair of the forward sticks just coming out of the forward bomb bay. The trail of smoke is from the smoke marker attached to one of the bombs loaded in the aft bay. The target is the Nanteuil Bridge |
