Replica of a B17 bomb rack with AN M-64 General Purpose explosive bombs. The silver extensios are fuses with a propeller that will arm the fuses and fall off. A tail fuse is set to detonate 0.10 seconds after the nose, but this was variable depending on the target and how far the bomb was expected to penetrate. The webmaster is included for sense of scale. |
