Kaz was sitting here with his back to the wall in the afternoon of 4 aug 44, observing the women looking at his parachute silk, and a young teenage boy who had played a role in his capture, Bernhard Müller (left). Kaz tried to communicate with the boy and threw a piece of chewing gum near him. Berhnard did not take it, fearing it might be poisoned. An older German man mashed the gum into the ground, and yelled at Kaz in German.

Two officers aircraft #145 later joined Kaz at his position before being transported away. Bernhard does not remember this, and believes that he had gone by then. (Scheder)
