| Dusty and Jack Leslie in Pennsylvania, Nov '43. Jack and his wife were good friends of the Nason's. Jack's plane was shot down over Germany in 1944 while flying with the 324th BS (H)/91st BG (H). He survived the bail out and managed to get to Belgium, but was murdered by local farmers who suspected him of being the enemy. (courtesy of Mary Nason Paavola) |
