Raymond Major Smith, 15 year old son of Mr and Mrs Major Smith, of Woodhall farm, was critically injured when #137, piloted by LT Herrmann, crashed into the farm house where his family was sound asleep. Raymond suffered severe burns when fuel from the aircraft ignited as the wing tore through the house. He succumbed to complications of his wounds the next day.
