The 832nd pass over Antwerp, Belgium. The structures that look like leaves are fortresses built during the Napoleonic Wars (identified by Tom Townsend). This photo was probably taken on the April 19, 1945 mission to bomb the marshalling yards at Pirna, Germany. The ship in the foreground is "King Kong," (3R:178:C). |
