Other ads were motivational in nature. Encouraging people to eat less meat, use less gas, recycle strategic metals and conserve consumables. People were even encouraged to carefully plan their travels by train and to avoid travelling on certains days. Troops were transferred cross country by train and space was often very limited. Posters, like the one at left, motivated people to work harder to keep up production and maintain quality work. Posters even warned workers of spies lurking about ready to steal any information casually brought up in conversation: "Loose lips sink ships."
