| Time has fogged vivid memory of some of the details of our experience on this bombing mission, and I feel that my margin of error
would be negligible; however, if any member of the crew would feel a correction of facts was in order I would yield without hesitation.
There is one very noteworthy fact that has been prevalent in my mind as I think about that day. It was very evident that each member of the crew remained cool and level headed under dangerous life threatening conditions. We were all fortunate to be among men who knew their jobs, did them well, and were true heroes. |
