The aircraft closest to the camera is 820:3R:T, flown by LT Thompson. This is the 832nd Squadron on the mission to Marx Field, Germany, March 21, 1945. This photo was taken from 942:3R:J, "The Blue Flippy", flown by LT Dolan. The formation has just completed it's rally. The Rally Point is in line of sight with the B17 at the right edge. The Ems river is visible at the upper right hand corner, and the German border runs from just below the upper left hand corner, and extends to just above the photo center at the right edge. The dutch town of Blijham is located left of center at the bottom. It is thought that MAJ Bain Fulton, an observer from the 3rd BAD, took this photo.
