So glad to find a 486 BG site! Have a little information for you. B24 41-28838 with the crew of John DeWitt Richard Hanft Delmar Mineard Alvin Christians Arthur Sykes Price Ralph McBride Robert Grant William Smith Raymond Ritter were the crew. the a/c was called Tommy Thumper and was badly flak damaged on 30 May 1944. After depot repair it was reigned to 34Bg and crashed on its first mission on June 6 - from fuel shortage. If anyone has any information regarding the nature of the damage caused on 30 May or knows the whereabouts of any of the crew please contact me!

Found you by 486th BG Newsletter. My father Francis O. Brown was navigator on Lt. George B. Snider's crew B17G #43-38040 3R-L used hardstand #37; arrived on 11/13/44 flew 30 combat missions left 3/28/45 832nd squadron. I would like to hear from other crew members or their relatives.
